Sonia and Jane

My name is Sonia. My brother Charlie and I live with my grandma. My brother has Asperger’s. He needs a lot of attention.

My mum died of brain cancer last year. I miss her a lot. I used to like to visit her and talk to her, even when she was sleeping.

Variety SA helped Time for Kids find Jane. Jane is my ‘volunteer carer’. She’s really like an auntie. I go to her house for weekends and we have fun. I’m always going to miss my mum but I’m really glad I met Jane. It’s nice to feel special.
