Jorja is Variety!
Hi my name is Jorja and I'm 8. I'm a happy, creative girl who loves to dance, I've been dancing since I was 4.I was born very early and have lots of medical problems because I was so small. When I was born I was about the same weight as a tub of butter, 545g. I am moderately vision impaired, have permanent lung damage and I have a gastrostomy button. None of these things have stopped me from doing what I love, which is dancing ballet!
This year I was lucky enough to win a Show of Hearts scholarship from Variety. It's helped my mum pay for lots of extra dance classes, uniform, shoes and costumes. I just think it's awesome because the scholarship lets me dance more, and so I feel more confident! This year I was able to perform at the Christmas pageant, on the Nutcracker float, and I also got to dance at my scholarship awards ceremony, at competitions and concerts too. One day I might get to be a Prima Ballerina, but in the meantime it's just fun being me!
