A story from Time for Kids

My name’s Davey. I live in a motel room with my mum and my older brother. Sometimes we don’t have enough money to buy food or pay our bills.

In June 2013 I went to Time for Kids because I needed some extra support. They introduced me to Tom. He loves soccer, just like I do. Tom is taking me to watch my first soccer game at Hindmarsh Stadium really soon and I’m pretty excited about that!

I missed a lot of school last year, but Time for Kids helped me apply for a scholarship and this year I’m going to a school in the city. Tom says he’ll help me with my study and Time for Kids and the school will help me settle in and make new friends. I’m really glad I met Tom. I think we’re going to be friends forever.
