How to submit a story.

If you're submitting a story without a picture or video, simply fill out the form below and submit.
If you want to include a picture or video with your story, fill out the form below and click on 'Include video' or 'Include Photo'. This will bring up some notes on how to do either on the right of the screen.

Prior to a story being accepted, entrants are required to confirm via the checkbox below their agreement with the following statement. Completion of this checkbox is mandatory to proceed with submitting a story. “I have read and understand the terms and conditions, including the purpose for collection of information.”

Entrants also need to indicate their willingness to receive information from Variety SA in future via the checkbox below. This checkbox is not mandatory and can be left blank if the entrant does not wish to receive any further information. “I would like to receive news and information from Variety SA.”

How to submit entry with photo

Your story will attract a lot more attention with an image. Remember, 'a picture is worth a thousand words'. To add an image, follow the steps below.

STEP 1: Fill out the form on the left. Select the your Story Category and click on the 'Include Photo' button.
STEP 2: Have an image ready on your computer. It's file size should be less than 1Mb.
STEP 3: Click on 'Browse' and select the image on your computer.
STEP 4: Check Terms & Conditions and select button confirming you agree with them.
STEP 5: Click on 'SUBMIT'.
STEP 6: Let your friends know you have submitted a story and get them to vote for you.

How to submit entry with video

Your story will attract a lot more attention with a video. Remember, 'a picture is worth a thousand words'. To add an video, follow the steps below.

STEP 1: Fill out the form on the left. Select your Story Category and click on 'Include Video' button.
STEP 2: If you haven't already got one, you will need a YouTube account and channel. Setting one up is free and it is easy. CLICK HERE to be guided through the process. It only takes a few minutes.
STEP 3: In another window upload your video to YouTube. Once you have done this, open the video in YouTube and click on 'Share'. It is under the video in YouTube. This will bring up a window with a link in it. The link will look lie this: http://youtu.be/N4XXxXX. Copy this link.
STEP 4: Go back to the form on the 'I am Variety' Champions site. Paste the link into the 'Enter your YouTube Video URL' box.
STEP 5: Check Terms & Conditions and select button confirming you agree with them.
STEP 6: Click on 'SUBMIT'.
STEP 7: Let your friends know you have submitted a story and get them to vote for you.
